How does our GPS Tracking work?
GPS stands for Global Positioning System, which is a way of logging the precise location at any given interval. With data logging multiple times in a minute, we are able to see a ‘track’ of movement which creates a visual representation of a walked route on a map.
Our leaflet distribution team are all trained in running our custom GPS tracking app on their smartphones while out delivering. We can’t see their specific location in real-time, but we can see when a distributor is active or part way through a route.
Once the distributor has completed their route, we are sent their GPS data which presents itself as a red line on the map, showing us the that they’ve delivered to all of the streets and houses that have been assigned to them.
We can then analyse the data sent to us to ensure that all of the maps and areas that you have selected for delivery are completed covered.
